Grubs work great for perch, corbina, halibut, yellowfin croaker, spotfin croaker and many other surf fish. Grubs can be used year-round. Use the carolina rig with an 18-36" leader. When hooking grubs start by feeding the hook down the middle of the grub and punching the sharp end and barb out through the side of the bait. The best hooks to use are split shot hooks in size 2 or 4. I like to use hot sauce (try taco bell or del taco) in a small bag and dip every five casts. Try it!! you'll be amazed at how well it works.
